We were having dinner this evening and when Nathan or Rylie starts yelling, the other one copies them and it just goes back and forth until someone (Jared or me) puts a stop to it. Occasionally we try to use reason (apparently, we haven't learned yet) on Nathan.
Jared: (speaking to Nathan) You need to behave like a little boy, not like a baby. And you (speaking to Rylie) can behave like a baby because you're a baby girl.
Nathan: No! She's a baby!
Me: Yes, she's a baby girl.
Nathan: No! She's a baby!
Jared: That's right. A baby girl.
Me: There are different kinds of babies.
Jared: There are baby boys and baby girls.
Me: When you were a baby, you were a baby boy. And Rylie is a baby girl. Now that you're older, you're a little boy.
Nathan: No. I'm 6 months old.
